International Museum Day 2020

The International Council of Museums (ICOM) annually holds International Museum Day commemoration throughout the world on May 18, to increase public awareness about the role of museums in community development.

International Museum Day 2020 takes the theme "Museum for Equality: Diversity and Inclusion", which leads to the meeting point of differences in the perspectives of communities and personnel in the development of the museum. The commemoration of International Museum Day is to increase awareness that museums are an important means of cultural exchange, cultural enrichment, and fostering mutual understanding, cooperation, and peace among human beings.

During the COVID-19 outbreak and the state of PSBB, ICOM focused on digital activities to promote the museum while ensuring public and staff safety. Happy International Museum Day 2020! Greetings museum friends, museums in my heart.
