Sharing Session Sonobudoyo “What Museum Collections are?”

Sonobudoyo sharing session was held again on Friday, June 26, 2020 with Bapak Gufron Seksi Koleksi, Konservasi & Dokumentasi Staf Sonobudoyo Museum with the theme “What Museum Collections are?”

It was an interesting sharing session. Many Sonobudoyo viewers join in on Instagram Live. Bapak Gufron explained that several conditions that must be met so that an object can become a museum collection, having the same vision and mission of the museum, the orgin must be clear,how to get the collection must be official, as much as possible the object in a state of being maintained and the different elements do not endanger human life.

The status of a museum collection object can be a Cultural Heritage Property or a non Cultural Heritage Property.

Collections can be regarded as objects of cultural heritage if the collection is a master piece, unique, rare, endangered, has historical value as well as the value of science.

The sharing session emphasizes that learning about history is very important. Learning from history, the same as learning from the past. Imitate good things and not repeat the same mistakes.
