Sonobudoyo follow tardisional Musical Instrument Exhibition Year 2016 State Museum Nusantara Yogyakarta Sonobudoyo exhibiting a collection of traditional musical instruments Rinding gumbeng. Rinding gumbeng the traditional art of the village of Gunung Kidul Duren. The main instrument used is Rinding and gumbeng. Rinding is a kind genggong (mouth harp) are widely scattered across the archipelago, while gumbeng played by being hit and produce different sounds depending on the placement of padding strings. In the past, Rinding played by teenage girls and mothers when completed harvest as gratitude to Dewi Sri which provide abundant harvests. It is now used for ceremonial Sadranan and greet guests. Instrument gumbeng Rinding musical accompaniment consists of: Kecrek, Rinding, gumbeng and drum.
This exhibition was officially opened by the Governor of Central Java Province, represented by the Head of Culture and Tourism of the Province of Central Java Dr. Ariwibowo Prasetyo, SH, M.Soc.Sc (Thursday, 20/10/2016) Ranggawarsita Museum Complex in Semarang. The exhibition is themed "Ethnic Suararupa Archipelago". The opening ceremony was enlivened by dance performances of Drum Rantak Adityawarman Museum West Sumatra and dances from Jepara regency, Central Java. The exhibition was attended by 23 museums throughout Indonesia. And this exhibition will take place from 20 to 24 October 2016 Museum Ranggawarsita Semarang, free.
