Scoping Sonobudoyo In "Europalia Festival"

Sunday, April 12th, 2015 Europalia team visited in order exploratory Sonobudoyo Indonesia as one of the guests in the Europalia Festival. Europalia is a biennial agenda in Belgium featuring the culture of a country that aims to promote the arts and culture. The festival is not only known in Belgium, but also in Europe where the event was officially opened by the King of Belgium together Heads of State / Government of a country.
Europalia be very strategic event for selected countries as it can be a means for projecting the progress of the country, as is evident in cultural diplomacy strategy, attracting tourists from the European Union and financing relatively cheaper because the state does not bear living alone financing event.
Present in the panjajakan Europalia International General Manager Mrs. Baroness Kristine De Mulder, Artistic Director Europalia International Mr. Dirk Vermaelen, Europalia International Project Office Mrs. Marie-Eve Tesch and Counsellor Embassy in Brussels Riaz JP Saehu. This event was welcomed by the Chief Sonobudoyo Dra. Riharyani, along with the Head of BKPM DIY structural officer within Sonobudoyo.

During the visit the team Europalia very impressed with the collection owned by Sonobudoyo. He also asked the various aspects that have been done by Sonobudoyo related to the desire of Mr. Governor makes Sonobudoyo as a museum of international standard.

Hopefully Indonesia especially Yogyakarta with Sonobudoyo one of them, can be selected as a participant in the Europalia Festival which will be held in 2017. So that can enrich and experience for the museum associated with the management of international standard museum.
