Date February 20, 2017 at the Hotel Neo Awana Jl. MT. Haryono Yogyakarta, the State Museum of Culture Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta Special Region have conducted coordination meetings with 15 heads Museum Indonesia. The purpose of this coordination meeting was in preparation for "National Exhibition of Traditional Musical Instruments Nusantara Year 2017 which will be held on 25 to 28 April 2017 at the State Museum Sonobudoyo Yogyakarta.
The meeting was opened by the Head of Culture DIY Drs. Umar Priyono, M.Pd and remarks from the Director of the Cultural Heritage Preservation and Museum Dr. Harri Widianto. The meeting resulted in recommendations and agreements are:
1. Theme Exhibition: "Sounding the drumming Nusaraya Diverse Collectivities" (Voicing Diversity collectivity)
2. Implementation Time: May 25 - 28 April 2017
3. Place Exhibition: Temporary Exhibition Room / Thematic Sonobudoyo Jalan Pangurakan No. 2 Yogyakarta
4. Accommodation / Accommodation Exhibitors: The committee merekomedasikan Hotel Inna Garuda Jl. Malioboro to the Head Museum as well as staff and other participants.
5. The State Museum of the 34 province in Indonesia as requested Exhibition participants can send a recording of Audio Visual or additions to the collection of musical instruments (for museums that want to replace or supplement) to the committee at the latest on March 10, 2017 via email: sonobudoyomuseum@gmail.com or State Museum Sonobudoyo Jl. Pangurakan No. 4 Yogyakarta.
6. Tim curator of the exhibition is entitled to select and decide the audio-visual, photographs as well as additions to the collection will be displayed.
7. Traditional Musical Instruments Exhibition Catalog Nusantara Year 2017 will be presented according to the theme and the distribution of clusters that have been determined by the curator.
8. Event Supporters:
- National Seminar on Traditional Musical Instruments Nusantara (in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Culture, in particular the Directorate of Cultural Heritage Preservation and Museums)
- Workshop of making a simple wind instrument (in collaboration with Prodi Ethnomusicology Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta)
- Workshop interlocking pattern hornets
- Degree of folk music during the exhibition.
9. Hosts Exhibition of Traditional Cloth Nusantara 2018 is the State Museum of East Nusa Tenggara Province
10. Hosts Exhibition of Traditional Musical Instruments Nusantara 2018 is the State Museum of North Sumatra Province
